Troubleshooting
1- NO SOUND / BAD SOUND
A. Ensure that you have the latest version of my OrbiterSound DLL package
and that it is properly installed. The package is available from my website
at http://www.orbiter.dansteph.com/download.php
B. If you're getting a message about "Ordinal 11" or "Dsound", chances
are that DirectX isn't installed properly on your computer. Re-install
DirectX and see if that works.
C. If you have an echo, slow sound, or stuttered sound, ensure that DirectX
is properly installed and that you have the latest drivers installed for
your sound card.
One other thing to try if you still have problems: Go to the Control Panel,
choose "System" and then "Multimedia", click "Voice", "Advanced",
and "Performance", then LOWER the "hardware acceleration" slider to none
or just before none. This is a well-knowm problem that occurs with many
games.
2- EXTERNAL MODEL VIEW OR TEXTURE-RELATED PROBLEMS
If you're having trouble with the external view of the DeltaGlider II (either
missing textures or weird video issues), try deleting the dgmkII_3.dds
hi-res texture file in Orbiter's texture2 folder. Many older video cards
aren't able to handle these hi-res textures.
